I’ve recently attended Cascade’s ‘Public Speaking and Presentation Skills’ course and I had a whale of a time! The trainer was enthusiastic, engaging and understanding of delegate fears around speaking in public.  I left the training feeling confident, empowered and anxious to have a go!  I never thought I would look forward to delivering a presentation, but I genuinely am.  The course was relaxed, enjoyable and the lunch was fantastic!  A great day and a course I will remember for years to come.

The training courses run by the Cascade team, including Addressing Data Protection and Effective People Management, that I've recerntly participated in, have been really valuable and supported my job role. The trainers have been really engaging, keeping me attentive all day! I thought the day away from the office and 3 hours travel time was well spent on the Cascade training with an experienced trainer and friendly environment with like-minded people.  It is always good to network with other people from other charities and helps to maintain motivation and give renewed energy as well as picking up very useful tips on the subject matter.  I am looking forward to the next Cascade training in July!

I found the Managing Time and Meeting Deadlines one day course one of the most valuable courses I have ever been on.  It was informative, inclusive and practical and offered many ways of dealing with the subject.  The range of topics covered was good, we were able to explore them in some depth but not to the exclusion of others.  The trainer (Jean) was highly qualified, had a professional knowledge and made the day hugely enjoyable.  I will recommend Cascade courses to my colleagues and other organizations and we will be attending your courses in the future.

I recently attended a Managing Priorities and Meeting Deadlines course.  The course was really helpful and I picked up a variety of hints and tips which I'm putting into practice within my job. This is to let you know that I recently went for the position of Course Manager at SPAN UK and was successful!  This was a big step up from admin and I have to say I could not have done it without the presentation training from Jean.  At first, the thought of giving a 15 minute presentation was a daunting prospect but using the structure and great tips and techniques Jean gave us, I managed to do an 'outstanding job' (as the Development Manager described it). I attended 'Managing Conflict in the Workplace' in March and walked away feeling I had gained so much.  The tutor was a fabulous person called Jean Atkinson whose style of teaching was clear, entertaining, interesting and informative but more importantly than that IT MADE SENSE!  She gave us examples, real life stuff that we all could appreciate - not theory, jargon and exercises that serve no real purpose.  I walked away feeling I had something I can use and put into action and the other managers have all said the same and spread the word.
